The Trans-Atlantic Business Dialogue is coming to Chicago.

It sounds like the city is gearing up for some heavy protesting. According to opposition organizers it will be a peaceful demonstration. It sounds like the police have other ideas.

The city is banning parking in the Loop and asking newspapers to remove vending boxes from downtown streets to brace for expected protests of an international business meeting here this week.
And in a preemptive strike aimed at preventing Seattle-style damage, the Daley administration threatened Monday to sue demonstrators if their "illegal actions" cost taxpayers money. Since 2000, the city has collected more than $2.8 million from people whose illegal activities or negligence have damaged city property...
